Dear Travel Journal,
Today’s holiday road trip swept us into the twinkling lights of Europe’s most magical markets — each project a little keepsake that felt like it belonged among the bustling stalls.
Our first stop was Strasbourg, France — the Capital of Christmas!
Jennifer Maker illuminated our path with her Festive DIY Shadow Box Ornaments, glowing layered paper creations that shimmered like the lanterns lining Strasbourg’s cobblestone squares. Amy Romeu followed with her Holiday Lace Notebook Cover, a faux leather design adorned with lace-inspired cutouts, echoing the famous Alsace lace that makes this region so enchanting. To finish, Jen Swift brought us a Sticker Card for France, a playful, colorful creation — as fun and charming as slipping a cheerful postcard into your bag while wandering the festive stalls.
Then it was onward to Vienna, Austria — where baroque beauty meets holiday wonder!
Regina Cortez dazzled us with her Golden Baroque-Inspired Filigree Ornaments, intricate 3D pieces cut from gold cardstock that shimmered with old-world grandeur, like chandeliers in a Viennese palace. Elena Anderson followed with her Christmas Market Stall Ornament & Photo Holder, a whimsical miniature stall inspired by lebkuchen gingerbread hearts — complete with space for a photo or note, like a secret tucked inside a festive hut. Finally, Lucy Foxworth unveiled her Charming Alpine Village Advent Calendar, a magical lineup of tiny cardstock houses forming a snowy winter wonderland — each one a little door to December’s anticipation.
As the day drew to a close, we left Strasbourg and Vienna with our hands full of glowing ornaments, gilded treasures, and cozy keepsakes.

Dear Travel Journal,
Our holiday journey sparkled with cozy charm today as we traveled north to Copenhagen, Denmark and then onward to Nuremberg, Germany — two markets where tradition and whimsy meet in the glow of Christmas lights.
In Copenhagen, Scandinavian design took center stage. Sarah Edwards had us layering cardstock into cheerful Gnome Decorations with Patterned Hats, each little character topped with a playful paper hat. Michelle from 12×12 Cardstock Shop strung together joy with her Scandinavian Christmas Banner, teaching us how to make each piece appear to float like magic. And Erin Reed wrapped up our Danish adventure with a Gnome for the Holidays Card, quick, cute, and perfect for sending hygge across the miles. Every project felt like a snowy stroll through Copenhagen’s markets — cozy, simple, and full of cheer.
Next, we wandered into the bustling Christkindlesmarkt of Nuremberg, Germany. Kelly Rossouw greeted us with her Adorable Nutcracker Gift Box, a cardstock masterpiece that looked ready to march right off a stall display. Amy Romeu followed with her Faux Leather Gingerbread House Gift Card Holder, a whimsical piece with a handy slot for tucking in a gift card — sweet, clever, and perfectly festive. Then Jen Swift invited us to create a Cozy Handmade Felt Wreath for the Holidays, soft and classic, the kind of wreath that belongs on a candlelit door in the heart of Germany. Finally, Michelle Price closed the day with her Gingerbread Easel Card, showing how even a pen tool can bring holiday charm to life, one sweet detail at a time.
As the day ended, our hands were full — each project carrying the timeless spirit of Copenhagen and Nuremberg’s holiday traditions. Two cities, two markets, and countless cozy memories.

Dear Travel Journal,
Our European holiday road trip reached its final day — and what a joyful finale it was! We journeyed through Stockholm, Sweden and Kraków, Poland, where folklore, color, and tradition filled every corner like lanterns glowing in the winter night.
In Stockholm, Scandinavian charm wrapped us in its cozy magic. Amy Romeu began with her Nordic Inspired Personalized Stocking Tags, faux leather treasures decorated with festive trees and the beloved Tomte gnome — a guardian of good fortune in Nordic folklore.. Then Mim Jenkinson brought playfulness with her Cute Christmas Gnome Decorative Stickers, a fast, fun print then cut project perfect for cards, gifts, and packages — as whimsical as the smiling gnomes tucked into Stockholm’s cobblestone corners. To complete our Swedish stop, Debbie O’Neal shared her Swedish Dala Horse Ornament, a layered cardstock design inspired by Sweden’s most iconic folk art symbol, ready to trot its way onto holiday trees everywhere.
From there, we traveled east to Kraków, Poland, where bold folk patterns and old-world charm filled the market square. Amy Romeu led us through her Folk Art Floral Jewelry Tray, combining faux leather and HTV into a colorful design that was both practical and beautiful — the kind of handmade treasure you’d carry home from Kraków’s festive stalls. Jen Swift followed with her Stenciled Clay Holiday Gift Tags, simple yet heartfelt touches that turned every wrapped package into a gift from the heart. Then Tracy Lewis dazzled us with her Polish Folk Art-Inspired Ornaments, vibrant layered cardstock pieces that echoed the country’s rich traditions and added a burst of color to our holiday décor. To close the journey, Angie Holden and Cori George shared 10 Ways to Boost Your Sales at Holiday Markets, offering practical, inspiring strategies to help every maker shine brighter during the busiest sales season of the year.
As the snow began to fall again and the market lights twinkled, our adventure came to a close. From Strasbourg to Vienna, Copenhagen to Nuremberg, Stockholm to Kraków — every stop filled our hands with crafts, our hearts with joy, and our imaginations with the timeless magic of handmade holidays. The road trip may be ending, but the memories — and the creations we carry home — will keep its sparkle alive all season long.
Until the next adventure,
